I'm behind on logging a few things...
The other night, Morgan squeezed me with all her limbs and said, "You're the sweetest Mommy, ever! I love you!" and it was very sweet.
Another morning, she woke up and said, "Mommy, I had a great dream! I was a rain cloud and the farmers would call up to me when they needed rain for their plants and I would send down the rain and then the plants and vegetables would grow!"
She has also been quoting "Quack from Peep and the Big Wide World" saying, "And that, my friends, is how it's done!"

My Favorite Customer
This is another one I forgot to log...
A while back, I was making some cupcakes and while I was prepping everything, Morgan was busily working on something. I asked her what she was up to and she said, "I am making you a 'Thank You' card for being the best baker EVER!"
Now, I know full well that my baking would not win any national prizes, but she is my favorite "customer" and her review is the most important one in the world, to me, and that just made me so happy!
Little Feet
I was cleaning up some papers on my desk and found something Morgan said from a while back that I realized I never wrote down:
"My bladder told me I had to go pee pee, so I ran as fast as my little feet could carry me!"I hope she won't mind too much, when she's older, that I wrote these things down, but they are just too cute! My apologies to future Teenage Morgan, but you are only 3, now...it is perfectly natural for you talk like this! :) You have a mother that loves you so very much and I know that can be terribly embarrassing, but OH WELL, what can you do?

A Grand-moth-er Story
Lately, Morgan has been telling me all these stories from many months ago and this one was particularly touching, from 7 months ago...
She said...
She said...
Mommy, I have to tell you something AMAZING! Mommy, I was with Grandma, and I sat really, really still and the most AMAZING thing happened...Do you know what happened? A moth landed on me!She was so animated telling this story and I thought it was the most beautiful thing. I remembered that I had a picture from that visit to the country house, when they were blowing bubbles on the porch. I thought it was just so sweet, to hear her remembering a time spent with Grandma that she brought up completely on her own. I told her that it was an AMAZING and beautiful story. :)
Crispy Heart, Soft Heart
Morgan was eating a bowl of Erewhon Gluten Free Crispy Brown Rice and she came running up to me and said, "Mommy, Mommy, this 'crispy' is shaped like a heart!" Then, she showed it to me, gave me a sweet look and said, "I love you, Mommy," and she gave me a huge hug! *heart melt*

At least she's honest...ish...
I was making cake balls, today, to try out a recipe for her upcoming birthday. She wanted to have one with dinner and I told her I would put one on her plate, but she would have to eat all her dinner, FIRST, before she could eat it, to which she said:
"I always do what you tell me...Well, not really...Only because you're baking me something..."Ha! At least she was being honest, in her own way...

I guess my work is done, here...
I wanted to have a little talk with Morgan about a fit she pitched last night, when she wanted milk in the middle of the night...
I started telling her about it and she walked away and I asked her to come back and she said, "I already know everything, Mommy..."
I thought to myself, "Ha, well, I guess my work is done, here..."
I told her, "OK, well, if you already know everything, then why don't you go ahead and tell me what I was going to say..."
She paused for a minute and blinked at me and said, "You were going to tell me a little more about what you were going to say..."
Uh, yeah, that's the ticket...

Sweet Pea
I was in the bathroom and trying to convince Morgan to go see her Daddy in the living room, so I could go to the bathroom, alone, but she didn't want to leave. I said, "can't Mommy go potty by herself?" and she said, "but Mommy, I worry about you and I love you. When I don't see you, I miss you." I had to finish up, wash hands, and give her a big hug for being such a sweetie. She was just so serious about not wanting to be away from me and I felt so bad for even asking her. I know it's not the healthiest thing, but it was a very touching sentiment, nonetheless.

GrandMommy's Favorite Gift Ever
Copied from Facebook:
Morgan made this "drawing" for my mom, who cannot see, so she can feel the jewels...she placed the jewels all by herself! :) It's a picture of my mom's bird with an egg and a sparkly sky. My mom said it was the best present she ever received. *sniff* :)

Catch up!
I am behind on my posts!
Here are a couple of recent things I can remember:
Morgan has a favorite tune on Little Einsteins that she likes and she has been trying to get Greg to learn it for the longest time. I was in the bathroom, drying my hair and I heard them in the living room and she was teaching it to him, again, and this time, he got it right. She was saying, "YOU GOT IT RIGHT, DADDY!! YOU GOT IT! YOU GOT MY FAVORITE SONG RIGHT!" She was so happy running around and came looking for me saying, "MOMMY, MOMMY! Daddy learned my favorite song!!"
When we were at Chuck E. Cheese's the other day, she looked like she was in a TV commercial, playing air hockey and she looked at me and said, "Playing at Chuck E. Cheese's is so much fun! Oh, boy!" (She does not watch TV, by the way, and has probably never seen a CEC commercial. It was a genuine statement on her part - she just loves CEC and I thought it was funny. :)
I need to keep up, but she says so many things I day...maybe I should have done a twitter feed, instead. ;)

Ever so much...
We were playing "Go Fish" and I had the card she wanted and when I handed it her she said, "Thank you ever so much." Ha! I wonder where she got that. :)

Excuse me, Sun...
Greg told me this cute story...
Yesterday on the drive home, the evening sun was coming in on Morgan's side of the car. She asked him, "Daddy, can I talk to the sun?" He said, "Sure." Morgan said, "Um, excuse me, Sun, it's a little warm right here, can you move, please?"
Then they turned the corner to another street and the sun was off her window and she said, "Thank you, Sun." :)

Good morning
Morgan was very stuffy last night and I went in to lie down with her and when she woke up this morning, I moved closer to her and she took my head with both hands and kissed me on the top of my head. :)

First Spring Leaves!
Morgan was looking out the back window and she gasped and said, "OH MY GOODNESS! It's beautiful! Mommy, Mommy! Come look! Oh my, I can't believe it!"
She came over and told me that I had to come and look and she took me to the window and she showed me two little leaves growing from the branches of our back yard tree. The first leaves of Spring. She said, "Isn't it beautiful, Mommy?" Yes, Morgan, it is.

Purple Flowers
Conversation while driving to GrandDaddy's house...
Morgan: Mommy, look at the pretty purple flower!!
Me: Oooh, pretty!
Morgan: No, not that one, the one over there!
Me: Oh, which one? Describe it to me...
Morgan: Oh...there was a seed and the seed went in the ground and then water went on the seed and the seed grew up tall out of the ground and then there was a little ball at the top of the stem and then the sun was shining on the bud and then it opened up *like this* and then the petals opened up and then it rained and then it grew some more and then it was a purple flower and it's sooooo pretty!

Pictures
Morgan has been drawing pictures of flowers and writing letters and numbers on pieces of paper around the house and when she finishes, she holds it up and declares, "oh my goodness, I need to take a picture of THAT!"
I always feel like...
I was cleaning up the living room and asked Morgan to help me and I noticed she wasn't helping. I looked up and she was perched on top of the couch. I asked her what she was doing and she said she was watching me and I said, "why are you watching me?" and she said, "well, SOMEBODY has to watch you!"
Ha, I have no idea where she got that from...

Birthday Card
Me: We need to make a birthday card for GrandMommy.
Morgan: Will we make a little one or a big one?
Me: We can make any size you want...
Morgan: OK, we can make a little one. What can we put on it?
Me: We can put anything you want on it? We can put stickers on it...we can write your name on it...
Morgan: We can write my name on it, GrandDaddy's name on it, Daddy's name on it, Mommy's name on it...Um, Mommy, sorry, but it's going to have to be a BIG card...

It's cute, now...
Last night, Morgan was in bed and rolled over and asked where her Dolly was and I said, "Isn't it in your hand?" She put up both hands, showing me her palms, and said with huge attitude, "Empty." It was so hilariously cute, and I couldn't help but laugh. I thought to myself how funny and cute that attitude was now and how I probably would not find it so funny 10 years from now... ;)

Umi Car
We were driving home and went over a small bump, and Morgan said, "the Umi Car flies over the big bumps!" and I said, "aw, sorry, Sweetie, we don't have an Umi Car..." to which she replied, "that's OK, maybe tomorrow we can just paint it orange and put a face on it..."

Who? What? Where? When? How?
Here is a sampling of one of many such conversations with Morgan, lately...
"What street do we live on?"
(I accidentally tell her the subdivision name, instead of the street name...)
"What?"
"Sorry, that was the subdivision..."
"What's a subdivision?"
"It's a neighborhood"
"What's a neighborhood?"
"It's a group of houses"
"What does 'vision' mean?"
"Well, 'vision' can mean sight, but the word is "subdivision", because the land is subdivided into pieces."
"What does 'subdivided' mean?"
"It means one big pieces was made into smaller pieces"
"What are pieces?"
"Pieces are parts"
"What are parts?"
"Parts, like small things..."
"Like on my toys?"
"Sure, like on your puzzles...your puzzles have pieces..."
[Continue to the point of exhaustion...]

She melts my heart
As I lay next to Morgan, she reached over and took my hand. I kissed the top of her hand and she said, "why did you kiss my hand?" and I said, "because I love you". She leaned over and kissed my hand and said, "I love you, too."

Clean up!
I was telling Morgan that it was time to put her cup in the sink, and get ready for bed and she said, "NO, wait, Mommy! We have to clean up all these cards on the floor, first..." Anything to stall bedtime... ;)
